I use Reaper and Foobar2000 together but mostly with an ogg file sound effects library. I use the asio output in Foobar2000 to play into a channel in Reaper using ReaRoute. It works great, absolutely 100% stable for me. Drag and drop from the playlist to the Reaper timeline works as a bonus.

Just found out Foobar doesn't support BPM tags for ordinary wav files, so I think I'll have to stick with Media Monkey for now.
