PT9 - Quick Punch voice Limitations during record?

Anyone else running into this issue of not being able to enable Quick Punch beyond 16 audio tracks in record? I have a test session set up using my internal sound card on my MBP with 32 audio tracks in record and I cannot enable Quick Punch beyond 16 tracks. Is this a limitation of the Built-In I/O or is this a bug or undisclosed limitation of PT9?

Quickpunch has always been 1/2 the available voice count. In your case you can do a total of 32 voices (tracks) so quickpunch can do 16 max.

Yeah that's true but the available voice count is supposed to be 96 in PT9. I should be able to use Quick Punch across 48 tracks through internal busses. I thought the 32 track record limit is a limitation of Core Audio?
