First Post - First Volvo

Hi All, Bought my first volvo so thought it would be worth while registering here, have been reading this forum religiously for the last week or so. Bit of background my Dad has had volvo's all his life and now currently drives an S80 D, so naturally have been around them all my life (am now 19). So fast forward to now, last week i purchased an S60 D5 S (05 Plate) for 7000 pounds, now I have a few questions about it. I have been reading that it is possible to remap these diesel engines now if i'm correct its the 185 bhp version which according to most it can go up to 226 bhp with a remap is this possible with my car? Also I feel like a knocking vibration through my clutch peddle is this something to worry about? Also the person i bought the car off is an ex police officer and he suspected the car used to be an unmarked police car, is there anyway to find out, i.e. are there any modifications made to them? Hi there, Picked it up with 106000 miles on the clock but looks and drives like new, and it had the big service at 96k so saved me 700 odd quid. The car is mechanically sound my dad had a good fiddle under the bonnet most of the weekend and said everything looked good mostly to check the cam belt had been changed. Only little niggles so far is the full return on the drivers side window doesnt work properly, it goes all the way up then back down again but works fine in increments. Thanks Dan
