Reaper 3.04 BSOD

MessageAuthor

BSOD are almost always driver issues. Are you running Reaper with the same audio and MIDI drivers that Cubase is using? What audio and MIDI are you using?

RE: Reaper 3.04 BSOD

Hi Schwa I'm using steinberg's MR816's for audio which are firewire and work well under cubase 5 in this 64 bit OS.I have an M AUdio midisport anniversary for midi although my main keyboard is connected via USB. The project contains no midi parts just audio. I've never seen a BSOD on this machine since I built it so it's rather disturbing to see it react in this way. the windows 7 64 bit is my test partition as I run XP for 99% of my commercial projects however I've just completed my 1st commercial project under win 7 64/cubase 5 32 so it's working well. RE: Reaper 3.04 BSOD

Hi Norbury, Ex-Nuendo 4 user here. I saw similar issues with my Presonus Firestudio and the fix was to check "Ignore ASIO reset messages (needed for some buggy drivers)" option under Preferences/Audio/Device. Also, I have a client that is using Cubase 5 and the MR816 on Win XP and has experienced many BSOD all of which either pointed to his iLok or his MR816. If you would like, go to C:\Windows\Minidumps. Zip up all of the files and email them to me at . I'll look at them for you and let you know what I find.
