Rear Transverese arm.

MessageAuthor

Hi All My father in laws 'N' reg 2.0, 20v manual 850 estate, has just failed its mot. Now the mot guy doesn't know what the bush that has failed is call. It is on the rear suspension / Steering link, and it faces into the centre of the car with one either side. Now I have had a look at it and I think it is called the 'Transverse Arm Mounting'. If it is this bush that has gone is it a hard job, and does anyone know what sort of price a garage would charge. Thanking you Bob.......

Both inner and outer buhes on the rear arms are bolt on jobs, but wheel alignment will hve to be checked/adjusted after repair as the rear tracking adjustment is on the smaller ends (see picture). Paul.
